If you haven't seen the latest installment of 6th and final film in the Rocky Franchise, you should stop reading my third rate review and go see it. NOW. Aside from the fact that the majority of the audience that will see this film have seen the previous sequels, this movie stands on it's own two feet separate but at the same time, still connected to its roots.
I was proud to have seen this film, elated, sad and inspired all at the same time to see where the character that Sylvester Stallone created many years ago come full circle and give the best characterization that will rival even his performance in the first movie.
I don't normally cry in movies, however I was overtaken with emotions by watching this film because the pain that Rocky was going through on screen emulated out of that celluloid image into the audience, and into my heart. I will go see this movie again. When the DVD comes out hopefully in the not too distant future I will own it and keep it on the top of my list as favorite movies of all time. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. |
