Good fun and good story

I found this one much better than "Deck the Halls" in so far as a Christmas Holiday movie - in so far as just pure holiday entertainment... of course, the reason for the season flick "the Nativity" is not a Comedy... This one advertises to be a Comedy, and Thankfully delivers on that promise.
Lewis Black finally, out of the half-million or so films he's been in this year, has an opportunity to be the out front man... The kids, however, and of course in this Hollywood "Home Alone" Holiday obsessed cookie-cutter attempts at movie magic recapturing, are first and foremost. They do a pretty fine job of it too.
The story is a little more fresh than I imagined it would have been, as well as above average in number and quality of the jokes. I was really afraid that everything in this flick might have been revealed in the trailer, as proved true of one of Lewis' other films "Man Of The Year" this year.
It's nice to have a film about CARING for a change!!!
