( CAUTION!! Numerous spoilers are ahead, indeed, in the first line.
Please do not read further if you do not want to know what exactly happens in this movie. )

The minute that Denzel's character climbed into the time machine, my suspension of disbelief stopped.
Also, if the writers were going to stick with the ridiculous idea of time travel, Denzel's character would have been dead at the end -- which, in my opinion, would have been a more believable ending, but I guess Hollywood-trained audiences would have booed at that.
Also, the scene in which Denzel's character foils the bad guy's attempt to kill "Clare" (sorry, I can't remember the lovely actress' name), she has just been drenched with some sort of accelerant (gasoline, kerosene, diesel fuel), yet she is completely unscathed when the building explodes and the blast sends her and Denzel's character up in the air and outside in an explosion of FLAMES; she would have burned to death if the writers had been paying attention.
Good acting overall, but the writers were a bit lazy and the storyline was all but nuts. |
