John Tucker Must Die is one of the best teen comedies of the summer. Jesse Metcalfe is one of the hottest guys on the TV screen and he has finally made it to movies. Kate (Brittany Snow) is a girl who lives with her mom (Jenny McCarthy) and moves from city to city every time she breaks up with a guy. She is not the popular girl, but she's that way because she doesn't want to get used to too much before every move. This time though, she realized that John Tucker (Metcalfe) has to be dealt with, and she is there to help the three girls whom he "dating" and finally breaks their hearts. Beth (Sophia Bush), Heather (Ashanti) and Carrie (Arielle Kebbel) are all wanting to get back at John Tucker, the star basketball player and most popular guy in school for dating them all at the same time. Kate though has no experience with guys, though she is their only option at getting back at John and breaking his heart. Meanwhile, Kate is finding interest in John's younger brother. Does John get paid back in the end?
This movie offers lots of fun laughs and plenty of Metcalfe with his shirt off. Teen girls should be rushing to the theater to see that alone. The story is good though and is interesting enough to keep your attention throughout. As I said, it is one of the best summer teen movies and is one most audiences will enjoy! B+ |
