This movie is the best musical and movie that i have ever seen! High school musical is about Troy Bolton (Zac Efron), who is the team captain of the East High Wildcats basketball team. Over winter vacation, he sings karoke with Gabriella Montez(Vanessa Anne Hudgens), a math and science whiz, at a New Year's Eve Party. He realizes that there's more to life than basketball. They automatically click and exchange numbers. Once Troy returns from break, he doesn't tell his friends about the singing, because, what would they think? Little does Troy know that Gabriella has been transferred to East High. During homeroom, which they happen to share, they meet up and start talking. They decide to try out for the spring musical and try to beat Ryan (Lucas Grebial) and Sharpay (Ashley Tisdale) Evans, the school's top theatrical talents. Troy and Gabriella get a callback for the musical and so do Ryan and Sharpay. Throughout these events, Troy and Gabriella upset the status quo along with Ryan and Sharpay. Will Troy and Gabriella do the callbacks? Who will get the lead? Will Troy and Gabriella get together, even though they're from different crowds? To get those answers, you'll have to watch the musical. The direction in this movie is great. The music tells the story of the movie, along with being amazing. And the dancing is quite impressive. The cast members all do their own singing, and they all have amazing voices. I would highly reccomend this movie/musical to anybody in any age group. Believe me, its so good, I've seen it 8 times and have it on my DVR, just until it comes out on DVD on May 23. |
