The movie had a chance to make a significant point about the effect on a child's life of being abandoned by an irresponsible father, but went irrationally too far with all the incest and murder. Still I couldn't look away. Gael Bernal Garcia and William Hurt were absolutely flawless, and the look and feel of the entire film was right on. If only the studios would send me these scripts to fix before going to all the expense of producing a movie! |
