I rented it after reading the plot on the back and expected so much more.
It is so far fetched. You try going with it for awhile, but the storyline moves so slowly.
The plot goes like this:
Long last illegitimate son, Elvis, comes over after Navy stint to see his birth dad, Mr. Sandow, minister of a prominent church. Birth Dad acknowledges him but doesn't want anything to do with him since he has a wife and 2 teenage kids.
Elvis woos Birth Dad's 16 year old daughter, Mallory, into an illecit sexual affair that yields a pregnancy while nobody knows about it. In the meantime, the daughter's brother Paul catches onto them and confronts and threatens Elvis. In a rage, Elvis stabs, kills and hides Paul's body in a swamp.
Elvis confesses to Mallory and she forgives him AND TELLS NO ONE (yeah right). Dad has second thoughts about how he has treated Elvis after Paul has been missing for a long while and invites him to live with them (yeah right). Elvis continues his sexual affair with Mallory under the same roof.
Eventually Elvis kills both Mrs. Sandow and Mallory and goes to Mr. Sandow's church to ask forgiveness of Mr. Sandow.
The end.
They had me at hello.
Stupid and ridiculous. |
