The acting was fantastic. It had to be to make this book turned movie able to work. The smartest of man can, and will have a hard time following a theme that is meant to confuse you. But I found myself thinking and ploting my way through a rare thing in todays movies... A true plot to a true mystery. The youngins will not be able to follow it. And the true depth of the darkside... being the fude between the two lead actors, may be a bit much as well. But, my 15 yr old daughter found it very interesting and she as well kept pace by thinking her way through it. All in all... compared to the crap hollywood kicks out these days, I found it enlighting to see an old time mystery and acting that was *REAL*. I say see it...and be prepared to think about what you are seeing. |
