Thy finally get it right! After a handful of funny, yet terrible films (Meet the Spartans, Epic Movie, etc.) This guys finally make a movie that does not rely on cheap effects, or plain stupid jokes, and even the most serious adults will have at least a bunch of laughs.
When I first saw the trailer, I though it was gonna be another one of those "whatever" movie and put a bunch of crap in there will making fun of other movies. Thank god it's not. This one, is a pretty well-thought, and made (for a movie like that). I'm not saying it's the best, but it was quite enjoyable.
The story was, and you know, a spoof of almost every superhero movie there has been. From Batman, up to X-men, next to Fantastic Four, etc. Most of the spoofs they make are very funny, while others are just another piece'o crap stuck in it. Oh and there is not even a slightest joke about celebrities.
The acting was better- actually I'm just gonna stick it to "alright". Most of the characters are comedians, or I should better say "used to these kind of films".
The direction here was alright too. First time ever since "Scary Movie 4" that they don't make it as a "Super-low-budget film". Anyone that saw "Meet the Spartans" remember the happy feet spoof?? P-A-T-H-E-T-I-C, right?! Well, at least in this one we won't have to stand that kind of stuff again. They're not good, but they're not THAT bad for a film like that.
Overall " Superheroe movie" is really fun. Ok, quite fun, but for others it's another piece'o *****. There where all kinds of people in the theater, not just kids, so I'm going to say anyone will enjoy this film, in a funny way, it's not that good. It's just funny. |
