If you don't like or get David Mamet and don't love William Macy then don't bother- because you won't get this movie. Excellent performances all around but the odd and blackly comedic road from despair to a warped kind of redemption and love is hard to take if you just like your movies as brain candy. If you think deep then this is for you. Best Mamet film since 'The Spanish Prisoner' and I'm betting this will get Bill Macy an Oscar nomination. |
