I, like many others, was duped into believing that this was a sci-fi movie about an alien bug invasion. WRONG!!! This is a very well done pychological thriller and I don't evevn get into the genre--Which is the point that needs to be made. Unfortunately, those who like sci-fi & gore will go to see BUG and be utterly disappointed. While viewers who who would appreciate this smart film will never be tempted to go and see it (thanks to the previews). My prediction--BUG will be short lived in theaters but rebound some when out on DVD. After oscar nominations are announced and the public understand what this movie is truly about, BUG will emerge as one of the sleepers of 2007. This was one time that I didn't mind being duped into seeing a movie.GREAT JOB!!!!!! |
