It is a shame that the movie trailers are sucking in people who only want a gory, thrill a minute, hacked off heads, mindless monsters munching human carcasses. I can understand there disappointment and don't blame them. That is not what this movie is about, though there is one of the goriest death scenes, so brutal it is hard to watch, that outdoes the 100 or so that are found in so called thrillers. This movie is about people with severe problems, pushed to the edge of existence by life. It becomes about the connecting of two and their rapid descent into pure madness that makes their life real again, at least for them. Ashley has a scene at the end, talking about a mile a minute that scarily reminded me of the madness of taking Acid back in the 60's. Damn this movie is great and will pass the test of time. |
