I saw skinwalkers this afternoon and I have to say it wasn't as bad as some of the peoples reviews here on yahoo or on other movie ratings pages. Although it was not the werewolf movie of the decade it was better than some of the crap I've sat thru in recent years when it comes to wolfie films.I can tell from watching it that hollygreed( er excuse me hollywood) Will release it uncut or unrated on video as well they should.The acting was about par with most horror films these days.The plot was different that's for sure.I wont go down that road if ya want a spoiler go find one elsewhere.the effects where actually pretty good,the fact that Stan Winston made them more like old-style wolfmen as opposed to full wolf like transformation is what I think has alot of peoples goat.Overall it was what it was a werewolf movie that followed a different path than most as of late.I paid matinee price and it was worth it,I don't know if I would shell out 20 bucks for a date and I,but it was better than your average rental. |
