I have to admit I was finally glad that Jean Claude was going to do some fight scenes, well "real" ones anyway BUT I still expected more out of them. There's only 3 significant fight scenes but they're not as amazing to look at as they were back then. Take, for example, "Bloodsport". Now that was a great movie with truly spectacular fight scenes. The final fight scene at the end in this movie wasn't even long. I think it only lasts like 2 minutes or maybe less. Maybe Jean Claude is too old now and can't take the heat. I would've liked it if only it had been a little longer. First, the bad guy beats him up then Jean Claude finishes him off later. Another fight scene in the middle of the film wasn't even worth watching. The bad guy didn't even put up a real fight. He just got ass-kicked by JC the whole time and eventually got his eyeballs popped. I don't even wanna bother watching JC's next movie "The Hard Corps" because I heard there isn't even any fight scenes or ones that are true to JC's capability. There wasn't any story to it either. The movie begins with a revolution in Moldavia and starts from there. It doesn't even explain deeply how the revolution started. On the whole, Second in Command is an Ok movie. |
