No wonder the critics don't like it

No jokes you have to hope go over your kids' heads. No anti-Christian messages. No sexual innuendo. No politically correct environmentally sensivite whining. Just a couple of hours of genuinely exciting, laugh-out loud adventures of a single dad who gives up his entrepreneurial dreams to take a "normal" job to preserve his image in the eyes of his son and discovers his unrevealed leaderships skills and his true calling in life.
My kids, 9 and 12, liked it more than Charlotte's Web and thought it was as funny as the Pink Panther, I compare it to Hook and Home Alone. Yes, at points it resembles a Three Stooges episode. What's wrong with that?
If nothing else, how can you miss a movie with both Dick Van Dyke and Robin Williams in starring roles?
