This is actually one of the most compelling, riveting films I have ever seen about a Serial Killer. And being a big fan of this genre, I have seen my share. Justin Chambers is outstanding as a detective on the case of the 1969 "Zodiac" killing spree; a year that also saw mankind walking on the moon, Woodstock, AND The Charles Manson killing spree. Everything about this film is excellent; the acting, the screenplay, cinematography, music, editing, direction, costume, art direction. I am surprised that this wasn't a much bigger hit. The only problem with making a film with this subject matter is that, unfortunately, the Zodiac Killer was never captured, and, thus, there is no resolution to the story. I'm gonna put this one up there with "The Silence of the Lambs" and "Se7en" as one of the BEST Serial Killer Movies ever made. See it! |
