Kevin Costner, Ashton Kutcher, Neal McDonough, Sela Ward, Melissa Sagemiller & John Heard star in The Guardian. This movie is great and it shows people how the Coast Guard Rescue Swimmers put their lives on the line every day.
Jake Fischer(Kutcher) is a cocky, troubled young former high school swim champ who enlists in the Coast Guard and wants to become the best Rescue Swimmer ever. His new teacher is Ben Randall(Costner), the most decorated Rescue Swimmer ever. He has over 200 saves in his career but now he is teaching at "A" School, an elite training program for Coast Guard Rescue Swimmers. On his last mission, something terrible happened that Randall thinks about all the time and after that Randall was asked to take it easy for a while so he starts teaching the new recruits. Randall sees something in Jake Fischer so he pushes him harder than everyone else and it turns out to be just what he needed. Overall this is a GREAT movie and you should go see it now or you'll be missing out big time. |
