A great romantic, adventure, real life action movie that is great from the beginning to the end. Kevin Costner is outstanding as the rescue instructor, and Ashton Kutcher is outstanding in this movie considering some of his past roles as a fumble bum. It is a combination of Perfect Storm, An Officer and a Gentleman, and an inter-personal drama.
Don't even consider listening to the critics. I saw this movie with my wife in a sneak preview at a theater showing with many young people in attendance. At the end of this flick, there was a round of applause from the audience. I am a senior and I loved it. It is a movie that touches all. The action in the ocean in the rescue sequences are terrifying and makes you wonder if you can ever be one of these Coast Guard rescuers, consiering the dangers, and the rigorous training that they have to go through. |
