Although this genre is suspense, I found myself knowing what was about to occur next. I actually pitied this movie, not for the characters, but because it was stupid. There's times when flashbacks take place in the movie where it doesn't even have to be there. There were times when my mind drifted elsewhere during the movie. I personally love action movies, and this didn't provide enough. The car chase scene was alright, but it could be a little better.
The acting's good actually. Craig and Kidman do an excellent job in their roles, too bad they got stuck in a flimsy movie. But I did find the movie interesting at times, there were points when I'd paid attention along with some of the audience. And the weird thing is, I was rooting for the aliens instead of the humans!
The visuals of the movie are kind of creepy and weird, but not all that terrifying. Like the victims of the aliens, I kinda liked the result of how they ended up. So I give credit to the visuals, it's pretty good.
Overall, it's a flimsy story that can get boring at times (even rushed and forgettable), and it's not really suspensful, but if your looking for something new then this can be a good choice. |
