Early on, I thought Tobey Maguire was going to steal the movie from Clooney. Fortunately, the mystery moved forward and Clooney became a focal point to the plot. Thought he came out pretty good in the violence (either the violence or recovery was a bit cheesy, though) the story line continued to be interesting and riveted me (and, I thought the audience) to each scene. Movie progressed well and the various main characters were well played by well selected players. The title, The Good German, was appropos to a thought provoking film. I would rate this movie, maybe a must-see, and Clooney did not disappoint as a seasoned performer. Ed Rosen. |
