It was a great movie - when I saw the trailer previews a few weeks back at another movie, I cried through them. I didn't want to go see the movie then because I thought I would sob through it . . but I didn't. I did cry, though. I cried for those who lost their lives that day and I cried for the children who lost their parents. This movie is a great reminder of what we lost and WE NEED TO REMEMBER. I had no problem taking my children to see it. They were only 8 and 11 then and really didn't remember. They are 13 and almost 16 now and it was a good visual history lesson for them. They sat in stunned silence through a good portion of it. It's graphic, but in a good way.
I can understand people not wanting to be reminded - but folks, this is a piece of our history. This is reality and this is what happened in our country. Not seeing the movie or not wanting to be reminded . . . that doesn't erase it from our history. |
