I did not think this was a very great film, even for artsy fare, which it is, in a way. The close-ups of Tim Robbins having 'food gasms' while being fed food by a large male chef almost made me hurl my drink at the screen. There were other scenes in the film that depicted outright homosexuality, which I thought were incorrectly done, so that was kind of gross also. (Deep purple fans don't "make it")The acting was slow, and the story evaporated into nothing, as far as I could see. I usually enjoy 'offbeat' films, but this one was a real failure to me. They can't all be good. That's the way it goes, I guess. |
