The Illusionist left me spell-bound. A terrific mix of entertainment, drama, a mesmerizing original storyline, and terrific performances in acting. I had never clapped at the end of a movie, but when this show ended I felt compelled to do so. A must see movie that appeals to all ages and tastes above that of young children.
Only every so often does a truly unique and excellent movie come along that stands above the crowd. The Illusionist is one of them. Field of Dreams, Star Wars, The Gladiator, A few Good Men, Indiana Jones, Cinderella Man, The Untouchables, Pirates of the Caribbean... The Illusionist is in League with all these films, and will hopefully bring home well deserved Oscars. |
