clever story, technically poor

The editing and directing were straight out of a first year film school production or a made for TV after school movie. The characters were interesting, but the acting was OK at best. You had the feeling that this could have been very funny and very clever with better directing, because the story was very original and the main character quite endearing. The most entertaining person in the movie was a secondary character (her brother's friend was hilarious). The trailer makes you think that this will be a quick and clever romantic comedy, but it drags a bit. This 90 minute flick felt like a 3 hour epic. |
