usually i would take my time in writing these reviews.... but i just got home from the midnight showing... and want to get this over with..
as most people know... this movie had little anticipation, not the like big name movies such as The Da Vinci Code or X- Men 3... with the combined efforts of Paramount Pictures and Nickalodeon Studios, a movie was born...that surpassed those big name movies. Due to controversy, or in X-men 3's case, a strong fan base, it has attracted a wide and main stream audience. Nacho Libre, with only commericial advertisment and small renown, is bound to obtain only casual movie goers. But this shouldn't stop you for checking out this wonderfully casted and directed movie. The director, known for the cult hit, Napoleon Dynamite, was able to combine modern interest with the past of masked wrestling. Whether it be the excellent portrayal done by Jack Black, or the hilarious supporting actors, Nacho Libre is definitely a must see movie of the summer. The story is simple, but then again its a comedy. Rather than actual flaws, there are only small gimmicks which are easily ignored or unnoticable. |
