This movie is exactly what I expected it would be. It starts off funny, stays funny and finishes funny. Its not a deep thinking movie, its not something that's going to win an Oscar, but if you and your friends want to go out, laugh yourselves silly, go and see it.
There are a few parts that you just cannot stop laughing because it's just so idiotic. Jack Black is hilarious, and Hector Jimenez is great. The screaming is so entertaining and when he tries to crack a smile, it is just so funny.
People are saying it is a lot like Napoleon Dynamite, but I will tell you, the first time I saw Napoleon Dynamite I though it was really boring, not funny at all, and actually fell asleep. With Nacho Libre, I couldn't stop laughing from start to finish. Listen to the little background music (especially bubble gum) and it just makes you laugh!
People have to understand, you don't go into a comedey and expect complete perfection, either you get the jokes or you don't, but Nacho Libre certainly delivers laughs if you want to let it!! |
