I've been looking forward to Horrorfest for weeks now, ever since I first heard about it. The idea sounded like a good one; release movies to the public regardless of MPA ratings or whether the movie was approved or not for release. Kind of rebelious I thought and an opportunity to watch a movie that might actually scare me or gross me out. WHAT A LIE !
This movie isn't that at all. The real reason these movies were released for only one weekend is because one weekend is all they would have lasted if normally released. The negetive word-of-mouth feed back would be devestating.
The Unrest is nothing more than an amateur movie that was poorly put together with unknown actors and inexperienced directors and camera men and worst of all, no budget. Even the film on which this movie was shot is of poor quality (very grainy).
The movie is so poorly directed that sometimes the acting sequences don't make any sense.
The movie has no scary moments, very little gore and very crappy suspense. The directors take on suspense always led nowhere and the music they chose was ridiculously out of place.
This is nothing more than a "C" movie made by college students that you would have been pissed to pay $1.00 to rent.
Sorry, but this horrorfest thing is nothing more than a sham. A "hit and run" on your money. Don't fall for it. |
