"John Lennon represented life..."

"..., Mr. Nixon and Mr. Bush represent death." When that line in the film was uttered the ENTIRE theatre erupted in applause. I strongly recommend this movie. Sadly, while it seems that history is repeating itself (Nixon>Bush, Vietnam>Iraq), John's lesson of peace and love are timeless. Though he is dead, his message is very much alive.

Many former, retired FBI agents come out in the film and reveal how the Nixon administration harrased John Lennon by tapping his phone, illegal survaillance and by trying to get him deported from the U.S. just for his opposition to the Vietnam War. (Which Tricky Dick saw as a threat to his 1972 re-election campaign.) For those familiar with Watergate, alot of the corrupt figures involved (such as Haldemann and G. Gordon Libby) were involved in harrasing John and his family.
