Yes, in some way, this jewel of a movie set my soul free. Beauty and truth are great healers and great art can serve the best that we already are through an alchemical resonance that touches the heart and mind with a divine shared experience.
In this story both the mentor and student are suffering from bruises that life brings. They are are not perfect and yet their relationship catalyzes beauty and art in both of them. I am grateful for the gifts that brought George Gallo's experience of his mentor, Nicholi Seroff, to me in such a beautiful package.
