This is a movie for those who loved the Beatles back in the day, who cried when Doctor King died, who protested Viet Nam, and who truly believed that the world could be changed by those who stood up and spoke out. It is an absolutely beautiful film, with scenes of cities as they looked back in the Sixties. It's a sort of musical, all Beatles music re-arranged for the show, but it's not about the Beatles - it uses their songs to portray the feelings of the times. The characters are interesting, the story is strong, and the singing goes from charming to thrilling. |
