The first half hour was amazing . . . fantastic visuals, outstanding sound, great characters. The special effects seemed top notch and state of the art.
The second half hour was almost as good - even better effects, but the story started to weaken, as some of the character interactions rang hollow, and simplistic.
In the last third, the story pretty much collapsed into trite cliche. If only they had paid real writers! Such an amazing start and so much amazing potential . . .!
Hard to sit through the last third as it is so bad, but worth going to the movie for the amazing first parts. |
