This movie is more about the politics of promoting WWII to the American people than it is about the men who fought and died in the war. The emphsis is on the famous photo at Iwo Jima which became a national symbol of the war effort. However, like all symbols, there were those who exploited it and those who tried to dishonor it. This story is about three average soldiers who got caught in the middle. |
