Alright, let's be realistic about this. Nobody goes into a movie produced by WWE Films (whose owner has challenged God to a wrestling match), directed by a former porn director (the man that gave the world the Between the Cheeks trilogy), starring a wrestler named Kane, and expects a little slice of art on a golden platter. If you do, then you probably need to find something other than watching movies to occupy your time.
So, you may ask. . .Frank, what should one expect from a movie like this?
1)Bad acting
2)Bad writing
3)Bad directing
4)A huge, unadultered kill fest
The movie does not disappoint on any of these counts. Kane wanders around most of the movie looking like he has to poop. The director and writer did have the good sense to give him only 4 words of dialogue in the entire movie. To his credit though, he delivered them flawlessly. The director apparently had a bet with someone that he couldn't cram every single cliche horror movie camera technique into this movie. . . He proved them wrong, hopefully the payoff was in cheese. On the gore/kill front, the movie didn't disappoint. The effects were pretty well done, and it's clear that's where most of the budget went. Anyway. . .the movie was gross, (I'm pretty sure that was the point)so on that point alone I'd have to give the film 3.5 out of 5 empty eye sockets. |
