Is Bruce Willis in Sin City 2? I sure hope so.

This movie kind of reminds me of "24" in that it seems to follow a real-time format. Plus, don't you think that Bruce Willis kinda sorta resembles an aged version of Kiefer Sutherland? Anyone, anyone?
It's not the plot that makes "16 Blocks" entertaining--you could rent about 40 other movies with the same premise. No, it's the appeal of the actors that hold this movie together: Bruce Willis does what Bruce Willis is good at and, man, that Mos Def guy is the most charasmatic guy ever. I could watch him all day.
Although Jack Bauer this movie is not, it has more layers than a typical cop drama and a really pleasing ending. It's sort of forgetable but who says that EVERY movie has to have some sort of profound, intense commentary on the state of life? |
