I couldn't wait to see this movie since I saw the first preview for it. I went in with high expectations, which usually ends with me being badly disappointed. However, 16 Blocks was even better than I imagined. There are some moments when the movie seems to drag a little, and it doesn't look like the director has any sort of plan, but you have to remember that the movie is set very near to real time; Willis has about 2 hours to get a witness to the courthouse without being killed by fellow cops and it takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes of movie time to do this. The action is great, the way Willis avoids the cops is spectacular. The ideas that come up in this movie are just too good. And lastly, Mos Def does the BEST acting job I have seen in any movie in the past year. If you like the Die Hard movies, you'll love this one.
