Tonight I had the privilege to see ATL. The movie was more than I expected it to be. I was expecting the traditional black movie with the same thought "I'm trying to get out the hood," theme but I was near tears when I saw that Rashad(TI) was willing to take a bullet for his little brother Ant. The thing I LOVE the best about this movie is that it showed reality in every aspect of life. Whether it be through New-New trying to convince her parents to be free and experience her real roots, or through Equire who just wanted to become a knowledgable man and make more of himself than living in Georgia; this movie targets all ages and it tells us that we can conquer our dreams our hopes our ambitions and our lives by just being real and making wise choices:)FYI IMA BLACK FEMALE |
