Enjoyable filler while waiting for a good movie.

Zach Braff takes his one-note acting career and tries for a different role in this lackluster comedy which co-stars Amanda Peet as his wife.
While stretching for laughs this movie only engendered yawns as Zach Braff stars as a man trying to provide for his family while his wife (high power attorney) becomes a stay at home mom with their first new kid.
A fish out of water story Zach takes a new job with his father-in-law back at his wifes home town and that is where the hi-jinck starts.
Overall I was dissappointed with this movie it could have been much better, it had a good premise it just took too long for it to be implemented. The acting was good, Amanda Peet plays a woman trying to do the right thing and with her first child, and soon realizes is not as fulfilling as she thought it would be.
Zach well if you seen the TV show "Scrubs" plays exactly the same character....his acting range is well to put it lightly "leaves a lot to be desired". His role is pretty much undefined, you get a sense that he isn't exactly the go-getter type of person but it is only vaguely implied by the dialogue of those around him.
Watch it if you got nothing better to do, but as for me I'll pass. |
