I've always loved Woody Allen, he's a genius when it comes to working a script. This film shows off his talents yet again. I found his humor quite in good taste of my own and perhaps that's why I liked it. Most critics are saying that the film has no weight and the pages of the script could fly up into the sky. They say it has not weight and no depth. I actually understood this film, granted, I've understood some of the 'hard-hitting' oscar worthy films as well, but this is a film anyone with a sense of humor and a love for a bit of mystery can enjoy. You have to be in the correct mind set to understand a 'weighty' film. Usually I'm not, I just want to enjoy it and understand it. I think this film's a winner, as are all the actors in the film, Scarlett Johansson, Hugh Jackman and Woody Allen. This film is definetely worth a shot, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised! |
