A Prairie Home Companion is quite a gem considering is lack of plot. This is a movie for those who like movies, and not necessarily a story that has a begging and end. With stars like Meryl Streep, Woody Harrelson, Lindsay Lohan, Lily Tomlin, Virgina Masden, Tommy Lee
Jones, among others and written by and starring Garrison Keillor, the movie has a lot of talent on the screen. The idea of the story is a variety radio show called "A Prairie Home Companion" that is in its final "live" run on the radio. There is much going on behind the
scenes and there are some quite humorous moments. Lindsay Lohan especially comes out of her "teenage" persona and shines in a more adult type role. There is some great song and great entertainment in this movie and really is quite refreshing amongst all the visual and action and crude humor that you find in many films. Enjoy the film for what it is! B |
