Sweet Lesbian Version of Must Love Dogs
by PhilosopherJay (movies profile)

This is a very funny and witty romantic comedy. It is an openly gay comedy, but do not let that put you off from watching it. It should be given extra points because it can be watched and enjoyed by straight men (like myself). I tend to think that both straight men and straight women will enjoy watching Heather Graham kissing Bridget Moynahan in a passionate, yet innocent manner, as Heather's character,Gray, discovers that she is gay. The movie does not show much sexual activity beyond the brief kiss.
Heather Graham is extremely bubbly and hilarious as an advertising designer. Think of a shorter version of Cameron Diaz. Molly Shannon is perfect as her sassy assistant. She is always funny as hell and this movie is no exception. All the actors and actresses are quite good. It is a well-directed movie.
I think anybody who liked "Must Love Dogs" or "Victor Victoria" will enjoy this comedy. It is affectionate, sweet and charming.
Please do not listen to the homophobic critics who will not really watch the movie because they are so offended about the sexual orientation of the lead character. If you can appreciate or get past that fact, you'll probably enjoy the film. |
