If you're like me, you would agree that all we hear about sex these days is its misuse. Case in point: the Foley page scandal. Now Republicans' sex lives bother me just as much as the next guy, but it disappoints me further that it's yet another cause for Americans to view sex as wrong. But John Cameron Mitchell's heroic achievement "Shortbus" brilliantly and enticingly teaches us that sex is not only normal but is an important, if not imperative, subject to discuss and experience candidly and with brutal honesty. Otherwise, how are we to REALLY find happiness and contentment during our time on this earth? Thank you John and your cast for showing us love and sex in all of its incarnations in your work of art! |
