Powerful--don't listen to the critics

Saw @ TIFF and was blown away. Saw it again last night, and those same, certain scenes retained their power. The movie's been called "calculated" and while I can maybe see why one would say that, you can't deny the amazing acting and screen presence of the lead, the excellent production value, and the keen examination of such a basic, core human need: to be loved. |
