Mongol, directed by Sergei Bodrov, gave a stunning glimpse into early life of Genghis Kahn or Temudjin as he is referred to in the movie. The story line of how deeply he followed custom was well painted. The plot of war and struggle is well juxtaposed against breath-taking footage of Mongolian Scenery. I left the Theater with a longing to hear somebody speak Mongolian due to the beautiful display of the language in the movie. In conclusion I would recommend this movie to anyone old enough to handle the realistic and well choreographed battle scenes. |
