To say that this movie is bad...even horrifically bad simply does not give it justice.
I was very excited about seeing this movie, as I am a fan of Dennis Quaid, Hugh Grant, and "white-trash" Mandy Moore roles (i.e. Saved). However, within the first 5 minutes of this movie it became painfully obvious that this sattirical commentary on American life was just,well, stupid. Yes, there are certainly points that were funny (the Iraqi-American doing Prince dance steps) However, even these rare moments of true comedy do not make up for the other seemingly endless amounts of Bush is an idiot jokes (and this is coming from a liberal!). So, really, don't see it--at least don't see it in the theater..If you are the type that enjoys self-torture, get really,really drunk,stoned, and/or shrum and see it on Comedy Central..but my guess is..you will wanna watch anything...even Lifetime.... over this. |
