This film presented so much less than I expected. I love Harrison Ford film and after watching the trailer for this I honestly thought that this was going to be good. I was wrong. If you are going into this movie this weekend, or whenever, do not go into it with high expectations. The film presents nothing that we havent seen once, maybe twice before. I got next no reality in this film at all. There were situations happening throughout the picture that threw the realism directly out the window. For example, in the begining of the break in, when the villans first took the family hostage, there was almost no reaction from the family. Yea there were a few "WAIT WHO ARE YOU!!!" and a couple "DAAAAAAADY!!!" moments but the family in that situation stayed as calm as can be.
I dont know, maybe its just me, but I tend to love realism within a movie. I want a film to make me belive in the story. This film didn't do that for me. If you are out looking for a "half-way" decent popcorn thriller, then you may want to check this out, but for the most part, it didnt live up to the expectations of what I thought this film could be. I was really looking forward to seeing Harrison Ford in another picture since his absence after "Hollywood Homicide", but in no way in this form. |
