Firewall is a suspenseful adventure, though at times it seems to be lacking. Jack (Harrison Ford) is a bank security expert who created a system for a major bank. He becomes the target of a bank robbery scheme and since he knows the ins and outs of the system, he's the target. His family is being held hostage at his home while he is trying to get the 100 million into the account of the bad guy. He can see his family and talk to them but unless he follows their rules, his family is in danger of being injured and killed. Beth (Virginia Masden) does a great job as his wife and puts in a powerful performance. There is suspense in this movie, but I found it to be pretty smooth. By that I mean that there wasn't much excitement or scary moments, it was just a suspense that was there to keep you interested. Even by the end you kinda go, ok, that was good, but not great. Harrison ford is know for these rolls where he does all of this action to get away from the bad guys, but I think this should be his final venture into such films. Overall the movie was good. B |
