Credibility Gap
by BH (movies profile)
Mar 19, 2009
I only got this movie because it was supposed to have been based on a true story. As a rule, I am not given to wasting my time on horror flicks because of the characteristically BAD acting involved.
Night skies never ascended over "B" rate horror with its campy script and poor acting. Lots of blood, screams, violence and manipulated script widened the credibility gap top a point where I just don't believe the story. Maybe this really happened, but it should have ben the movie's main goal to make it look like it did, not sacrifice believability for effect.
One man remainging alive to tell a story as wildly imaginative as this one does little to improve the odds that aliens are amongst us, abducting people, and flying highly visible patterns in skies so protected by US Air defenses that you can hardly fly a kite these days without it getting shot down.
There's an explanation for everything and all the Phoenix Skies phenomenon lacks is a credible one. In the meantime, I will be sure to drive the main roads in AZ and Nevada and try to travel during the light of day.
