Misunderstood in a very flat world

I think I am one of the few audiences that actually went to the countries in the movie, and speak the languages too. And I think even though the director may have shown the countries in a sterotypical way, but he did capture the essence of the cultures. And they look astonshingly realistic to me in this movie.

You may be shocked by the Japanese girl's behavior, but it's not uncommon at all! Japan has a very youth oriented culture and many young girls are not afraid of showing their
sexuality.

And anyone who's been to Latin American family's party knows how people enjoy a good time. Family and partying are two important facts of life in Latin American culture.

I was in Morocco only one month but I did travel the same route as the bus did, and I am not surprised to see how the Berbers lived and behaved in this movie. You can not find more hospital people than the Berbers. My tour guide tole me he worked on a movie set, starring an American big star Brad Pitt. I guess it must be this movie. He said Brad Pitt was very down to earth and unlike some other big Hollywood star, he treated local people very well. Got his own stuff and never even asked local people to bring a bottle of water for him.

The movie is about miscommunication, yet the world is so small anything happened at one corner is spreaded out to other parts of the world instantly. In the end, human beings are the same no matter where you live.

My suggestion after watching this movie is "Visit Morocco". It is a beautiful country, people may stare at you but they are super nice, you will NOT meet any terrorists. It is a Muslim country but people are very tolerant, you don't have to cover your arms or heads. And American dollars can go a long way.

Go see this movie and it will give your localized American view (if you have never been to a foreign country) a very fresh perspective.
