I originally didn't think much about this movie until after watching it did I realize how serious it turned out. Much like renegagde cops in Training Day but of a different sort - ex gang members turned LAPD. At first, the movie started off with the usual cop work until after shooting a man did things turn dark. The movie worked it's way into gang territory and ultimately they became captives themselves, playing Russian Roulet to save both themselves and each other.
If anything, this movie brought out what is more important: loyalty to a cause at all times where if it is broken at all, "redemption is not so easily given."
All actors/actresses were excellent in their roles. The story flowed well and the direction did not sway off at any point. Gritty and dirty, this movie deserved it's name. |
