What's not to understand?

The negative reviews marvel at all the enthusiasm for this film, not realizing that those clapping at the end didn't come for the quality of the production: They came for the same reason that a proud mother attends a play at school that features her son or daughter. That is, this movie is about God and the Bible (whether Jewish or Christian). If that happens to be "your team", you can't help but cheer at Esther's victory. If you're outside of it though, none of its themes make any sense at all, and all you're left with is "acting and cinematics".
Choose to believe (John 3.3) and watch this movie come to life for you. I was wiping tears from my eyes, and it had nothing to do with how "Hollywood" the movie was. |
